We’d like to present a photograph of a genuine book with birth records of people born during December 1914 in Hlebine. As you can see at the bottom of the page there’s a record of Ivan Generalic being born on 21st, which was – Monday.

This was, of course, the first time that the name Ivan Generalic has been written and it was done by a priest in a local church.

The search for the book took several weeks and was eventually found in the Town hall archive in Koprivnica in 2009 as all records were moved several times during the WW2. The research was done by the City museum of Koprivnica.
